Regional Location Maps
The two maps below show:
  • An overview of the South Burnett region showing its relationship to Brisbane, Toowoomba and South-East Queensland; and
  • A more detailed view of the South Burnett region

The South Burnett has an area of 11,672 sq kilometres spread between 7 local authorities (Nanango, Rosalie, Kingaroy, Wondai, Murgon, Cherbourg and Kilkivan Shires). Most of the area is situated 450m above sea level atop Australia's Great Dividing Range.

Regional Tourist Map

During 2001, Nichol's Printing of Kingaroy produced a tourist map of the South Burnett which shows the main arterial roads through the region and the location of its principal tourist attractions - including Lake Barambah, Lake Boondooma, the South Burnett's wineries and many other similar points of interest.

The map is available at right as a 734K Adobe PDF file. It will print out to a A4 page in its default size.

Hard copies of the map (which is in A3 format at normal size) are also available from the region's four accredited Visitor Information Centres at Nanango, Kingaroy, Wondai and Murgon.

Regional Wine And Food Trail Map

In early 2002 the South Burnett Tourism Association produced the region's first full-colour tourist brochure and - as part of it - the South Burnett Gourmet Wine and Food Trail Map, which displays the locations of the region's major wineries and regional cuisine restaurants.

The map is available at right as a 371K Adobe PDF file. It will print out to a A4 page in its default size.

Hard copies of the map are available in the regional tourist booklet, which is available from the region's four accredited Visitor Information Centres at Nanango, Kingaroy, Wondai and Murgon.
