Local organisations, the
Queensland State Government and the Commonwealth all provide valuable support
for worthwhile projects, and they all operate a number of funding schemes.

It's a useful source of information on funding and assistance programs for
tourism.

(EAGLE)

This Environmental Protection
Agency's online service provides access to information about environmental
funding providers, their programs and cut-off dates.

Commonwealth Department of
Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing

The Commonwealth Department
of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing administers a number of grants programs
related to primary industries, including FarmBis and the Farm Innovation
Program, the Natural Heritage Trust and several programs designed to assist
food producers.

the most extensive and up-to-date community grants and scholarship databases
in Australia and publishes regular monthly newsletters outlining new grants
as they become available.

This new Commonwealth site
- launched in May 2001 - provides direct links to information on Commonwealth
grant programs (especially those programs targeting regional areas). It's
been structured to make it easy for people to find the best source of grant
funding for community projects and also gives helpful tips on applying for
grants.

State Government Tenders and
Contracts

The Business Opportunities
Branch of the Queensland Department of State Development now makes many State
Government tenders and contracts available on its web site. New tenders and
contracts are added regularly. This can be a useful source of business
opportunities for some companies.

Wide Bay Burnett Area Consultative
Committee
-
The WBBACC are the local
area consultative committee for the South Burnett. They provide assistance
for 9 commonwealth grant programs including RAP, Dairy RAP and Job Network.
Their site provides additional background on these programs and downloadable
documentation.
